Bettisworth North, Architects and Planners, has the following job interests in our Fairbanks and Anchorage, Alaska, offices: For those who are looking for relevance in their professional lives, for a firm that will provide an opportunity to be actively involved in community development, and for a place where the work you do makes a difference, our progressive 22-member firm seeks design professionals for long or short-term employment.
Projects currently under design include community development plans, community centers, cultural centers, libraries, visitor centers and visitor facilities, airport passenger terminals, university and k-12 educational facilities, justice facilities, arts centers, senior centers, national parks projects, adaptive reuse and new construction.
Construction Manager
The individual selected for this opportunity will be responsible for construction administration
efforts on multiple projects and assist in the development and preparation of project
specifications and product requirements. Must be team oriented, creative thinker with good
communication and organizational skills and a passion for high quality designed work projects.
Must have at least 5 years of professional experience in architecture or construction.
Architectural education and/or license is desired, but not mandatory. Proficiency in
MS Office, MS Project, a must. Autocad/Archicad skills preferred. Full-time employment.
Employer may assist with relocation costs. Salary range: DOE.
Senior Architect/Project Manager
We are not actively hiring this position; however, we look for individuals who can interface
with clients, coordinate consultants and designers, design development and construction document
preparation, construction administration, specifications, and project management on a
wide variety of projects. Great communication, collaboration, organizational and project
management skills are essential, as is a team-oriented, flexible attitude and a passion for
high quality designed work projects. Usually have at least 5 years experience as a
Licensed Architect. AutoCAD/Archicad proficiency desirable.
Intern Architect
We are not actively hiring this position; however, we look for individuals who can
actively participate in all aspects of facility planning, design, and construction.
We are looking for flexibility, team spirit and an accredited architectural
degree with 1 to 5 years of experience. Knowledge in AutoCAD/Archicad and MS Office is a
must. 3-D Modeling, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are a plus.
