Fort Richardson Army Base, located eight miles north of Anchorage and next to Elmendorf Air Force Base, is situated on glacial till bluffs overlooking Cook Inlet in Southcentral Alaska. The consideration of this unique site was given in the design of the (92) units, consisting of both single and duplex buildings types, for the FY05 Construct Replacement Housing (FTR179).
