The Downtown Rotary Club of Fairbanks sponsored a project to renovate the existing Boys and Girls Club of the Tanana Valley.. Along with other key donors, and the City of Fairbanks who owned the building, a $100,000 dollar budget was developed. As part of this, Bettisworth North teamed with Ghemm Company Construction in a design-build process to provide design and construction services.

The existing facility, the old auditorium space of Fairbanks' first school, was remodeled to include a new life skills kitchen space, a lounge and activity space dedicated to the teenage patrons, office space and secure storage, and an arts and crafts work area. Finishes, flooring and ceiling treatments were replaced to reflect a contemporary and fun style. This project, a successful example of the team-oriented design build process, was recognized by national Boys and Girls Club of America.
