Marriott Springhill Suites Hotel
Fairbanks, Alaska
This 140-room Marriott Springhill Suites hotel in Fairbanks, Alaska, includes a pool and spa, gift shops, meeting rooms, and a 4,000 sq.ft. bistro restaurant. Bettisworth North was selected to take a suburban prototype motel, the Springhill Suites line, and convert it to a urban local hotel. We concentrated on incorporating this new design, while addressing the history of Fairbanks, into the existing fabric of our downtown and creating a new, but related building to our growing city. Bettisworth North coordinated all finishes with the International Marriott design staff and helped select local artwork and finishes to add the "Alaskan touch" to the corporate interior package.
Marriott International awarded the Springhill Suites of Fairbanks with the CFRST 2001 honor for construction excellence.
