Roy L. Rountree, AIA

Roy Rountree brings more than 20 years experience as an architect in Alaska and joins Bettisworth North as Project Architect and Manager of the firm's Anchorage office. Mr. Rountree is a well-organized and attentive professional whose genuine concern for meeting the client's needs is coupled with extensive experience in project management and construction. Born and raised in Juneau, Alaska, he has a great sensitivity towards the natural environment and a knowledge of Alaska's varying climates and their demands on materials and buildings as a whole. His experience throughout the state has resulted in projects which are culturally appropriate, climatically responsive, and provide exceptional value to the client.

Roy has overseen our firm's transition from 2d design to utilizing 3d Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, and fully understands the benefits this technology offers for the design team, owner, and contractor.

Roy's love of being in the outdoors brings him back to the banks of the Chitina river every year on his annual dipnetting expedition. While the office mourns his absence during this time, the atmosphere quickly changes to cheer when we are rewarded with jars of his famous smoked copper river red salmon!

Tracy A. Vanairsdale, AIA, LEED™AP

Following her interest in the environment, she became one of the first few LEED accredited professionals within the state of Alaska through the United States Green Building Council in 2003.

Tracy has traveled extensively both inside and outside of the state, and has enjoyed being a part of a variety of projects, large and small, from Ketchikan to Nome.
